Family Safari Slumber Party at Binder Park Zoo

Seeking fun and excitement? Come out and join us for a camp out in Wild Africa while learning about African animals and culture! Family Safari Slumber Party is an after-hours overnight adventure for anyone ages six and up!

Families with children ages 6 and up; all participants MUST be at least 6 years old by the date of the overnight and children must accompanied by an adult. 

What? A fun, one of a kind African overnight experience! Come learn all about Africa and the animals and people that call this diverse continent home. Watch a live animal presentation, participate in fun activities, and sleep in an authentic African Tented Camp, all while discovering ways you can help conserve animals in Africa and around the world.   

Where? Binder Park Zoo’s Wild Africa in our NEW Tented Camp! Guests will sleep in free-standing canvas tents on provided cots. Tents can accommodate up to 8 people.   

When? Programs are available June 17th, July 8th, July 21st, August 11th, and August 26th. Overnights begin promptly at 6:00pm and run until 10:00 on Saturdays, or 11:00 on Sundays. Don’t see a date that works for you? Give us a call; you might be able to join a group on a different date!

How Much? $240 per tent for up to 4 people, plus $50 per additional person for up to 8 people total per tent. Binder Park Zoo members receive 10% off. Cost includes:

  • Overnight program
  • Admission to the zoo the following day
  • Live animal presentation
  • Dinner, late night snack, and continental breakfast
  • Souvenir (children only, adult items available upon request)
  • Giraffe feeding coupon

*T-shirts are available for a separate fee of $12 each.  A t-shirt order form is included in your first packet after registration or shirts may be purchased at the overnight if correct sizes are available.
