BADGE-IN-A-DAY

Are you looking for a fun, unique activity to help your scouts work towards a badge, achievement, or elective?  Binder Park Zoo’s Badge-in-a-Day programs are an exciting way to introduce your scout group to wildlife and conservation while working towards specific requirements. The two-hour program includes a live animal presentation, games and activities, and zoo admission for the day (in-season only). Programs are available for scouts of all ages!

Who?Any scout group, ages 5 and up; all participants MUST be at least 5 years old by the date of the program.  A minimum of 8 paying participants (or a minimum payment of $136 in-season/$80 off-season) are required to run the program and a maximum of 30 participants are allowed.

What? A special way to earn a new badge!  Badge-in-a-Day programs include a live animal presentation, games and activities, and zoo admission for the day (in-season only).  During our off-season you may purchase a 30 minute guided tour to the exhibits of our winter hearty animals to be done after the 2 hour Badge in a Day. This is not a behind the scenes tour. Programs are designed to work towards specific badges, click here for specific program information.

Where? Binder Park Zoo’s Conservation Discovery Center. Portions of the program may also take place outside.

When? Programs are available in-season from April 22nd-October 5th, 2014 and off-season November 2014-early April 2015.  Specific dates and times are based on staff availability and are very flexible based on your group’s need.  Please contact the zoo for more details.

How Much? $17 per person in-season, $10 per person off-season, off season 30 minute guided tour $25 per group; one leader gets in free (after 8 paid participants)! Calhoun, Branch, Kalamazoo and St. Joseph County Scout groups will receive a 20% discount.
