Are you looking for adventure, fun and excitement this summer?  Look no further than Binder Park Zoo! We have summer camp programs for children ages 2 to 17 years.  Binder Park Zoo is a unique and lively backdrop for kids of all ages to get out and explore their surroundings and the natural world. Zoo camp participants will enjoy guided walks, crafts, games and activities, live animal presentations, scavenger hunts and so much more! Children who attend camp at Binder Park Zoo will shape and expand their knowledge of animals and conservation and have a summer they won’t soon forget. F.A.W.N. - First Adventures With Nature
Ages: 2 - 5 years (with one adult)
Thursdays 10:00am to 11:30am
$10 for a member child and adult/$30 for a non-member child and adult
Extra member adult $5; Extra non-member adult $15
Extra member child $5; Extra non-member child $10

This one and a half hour camp allows parents and children ages 2 -5 years to experience nature and wildlife hands-on through animal presentations, discovery tours, songs and stories, and many other activities. F.A.W.N. is an excellent way to increase your young child’s awareness of the natural world and all the wonders in it. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Safari Camps
Ages: 5 - 12 years (must have completed Kindergarten)
Monday - Friday 9:00am to 4:00pm
$160 per child, per week (members receive 10% off)
Morning care: drop off between 7:30am-8:15am at the Zoo office; cost is $15 per day or $60 for the week
Afternoon care: pick up between 4:30pm-6pm at the Zoo office; cost is $15 per day or $60 for the week
Snacks will be provided. Please send your child(ren) with a sack lunch.
Camp t-shirts are available to purchase for an additional charge.

Children ages 5-12 will have a blast playing games, participating in group activities, crafts, scavenger hunts and more! They will see both live animal presentations and animals on exhibit.

Zoo Conservation Camp
(formerly Jr. Zookeeper Camp)

Ages: 13-17

A limited number of camp t-shirts are available to purchase at an additional charge.

Do you love nature and animals? Have you ever wondered how you can help animals here at home and around the world? What can you do to help the roughly 600 animals that call Binder Park Zoo home? Find the answers to these conservation questions and many more in this week long camp dedicated to wildlife conservation. We’ll explore threatened and endangered animals and what is causing species decline through games and activities, individual and group projects, live animals presentations and more.

Camp Enrollment Policy:

  • Pre-registration is required.
  • Registrations will be accepted by mail, fax or online. No phone registrations accepted.
  • Registrations must be received no later than the Thursday before the 1st day of camp.
  • No “day before” registrations accepted; "day of" registrations available by chance.
  • Programs run rain or shine.
  • We reserve the right to refuse enrollment to anyone or dismiss without refund any student for behavioral issues.

Camp Cancellation Policy: All cancellations must be received by mail, fax or email only; voicemail will not be accepted.

  • Up to 5 Business Days Prior: 50% will be refunded or you may move to another camp and pay a $10 transfer fee.
  • 0-4 Days Prior: No refund; must re-register for another camp and pay full amount
  • Full refunds are only issued when BPZ cancels a camp due to low enrollment or extenuating circumstances
  • There is a $10 processing fee to transfer participants from one camp to another
