Manager of Wildlife, Conservation & Education - To assist the Zoo in accomplishing its mission to: Connect. Inspire. Conserve. Connect people with nature. Inspire them to conserve. Guest Relations Coordinator - To assist the Zoo in accomplishing its mission to connect, inspire and conserve by serving as a guest relations coordinator and assist in security, emergency procedures, and staff emergency preparedness. Open Until Filled. Learn More

Camp Interpreter - Binder Park Zoo’s education department is seeking reliable people who love working with children to lead day camp programs throughout the summer. Camp interpreters work with groups of children ages 5-17, leading them through daily adventures that help them to discover the wonders of nature. Applicants should be flexible, dependable, and comfortable working with children and animals (optional). Learn more

Field Services - Help keep Binder Park Zoo looking its best! Our Field Services personnel assist with keeping the zoo's buildings and walkways friendly, safe and clean for zoo guests. Must be at least 18 years old with valid drivers license preferred.

Transportation - Drive the Z.O. & O. Railroad, operate the Binda Conservation Carousel, or transport guests to and from Wild Africa on one of our trams! Must be at least 21 years old with valid drivers license.

Face Painting - Do you have artistic talent, like to be outdoors, enjoy working with kids of all ages? Maybe you should be a face painter! Have a blast creating animal faces for children and adults at the zoo.

Receptionist - We are looking for two outgoing and positive team members to work our reception desk for two week days and one to two weekend shifts per week.

Admissions - Greet Zoo guests and assist them with their admissions purchases. Wow them with great customer service as they prepare to embark on their zoo adventure.

Current Service Systems Associates Job Openings

Service Systems Associates is currently seeking applications for the following positions:

Food Service & Retail Associates - All associates will be responsible for meeting or exceeding EXTRAordinary Guest Service Standards. Must be able to learn and operate POS equipment. We ask that all associates be available to work Monday-Sunday during the season.  Knowing that in many cases that isn’t possible we will hire as many individuals as necessary to ensure that all Guests are properly serviced.  Associates should have a strong interest in the hospitality field and observe all safety and security procedures.  All associates will maintain the highest level of Guest service at all times.

Current Binder Park Zoo Internships

Binder Park Zoo is currently seeking interns in the following areas. Please submit a Binder Park Zoo Internship Application to be considered. Please note: these positions are unpaid.

Animal Care Intern: Assist zoo staff in the daily care of animals and exhibits, record keeping, and interacting with zoo guests. Experiences working with a variety of animals as you rotate through the different keeper areas.

Education Intern: Assist with all aspects of education programming including overnights, camps, outreach, stage shows and more.  Interns will also receive animal handling training and be given the opportunity to present live animals to groups of various ages and sizes.  Applicants must be energetic, friendly, outgoing and enjoy guest interaction.

Horticulture Intern: Assist with all aspects of grounds care including planting, pruning, weeding, mulching, watering, mowing and the trimming of trees, shrubs and turf. Work with animal care staff with animal enrichment, cutting non-toxic browse for animals All internships are open to college students majoring in related fields of study.

Interns must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays in all weather conditions and have the ability to lift 50 pounds. Internships are available year-round but responsibility descriptions may vary depending on the season/semester.
